Founded in 1978, AJ Wood Construction had its humble beginnings like any other: a dedicated family man looking to make a good living doing what he does best. Richard (aka AJ) created the company with a goal of providing exceptional customer service in all aspects of construction, remodeling and exterior renovations. Today, he continues that goal as the company expands year after year.

The whole family is involved in the day-to-day operations: Julie takes care of all schedules, administrative work, client interactions, material orders, project management and more. You’ll likely see a familiar face on the job site because everyone who works here is like family. In fact, many of our employees have been here for 10 to 15 years.  AJ prides himself on visiting jobs himself, strapping on his tool belt and helping to get the job done on time. He gets to the root of a problem and makes sure it’s fixed so it doesn’t happen again, unlike other contractors who may put a Band-Aid on repairs. Above all, he is loyal to his crew and his clients, backing all work with quality guarantees and warranties.
